The most crucial and intensive times of human development are the first four years and adolescence. It is essential children are well supported to have optimum development in their pre school years, and that adolescents can successfully complete their journey of identity and independence. This workshop is ideal for social service workers who require a refresher in child development theory with the added essential factor of looking at the impact of early trauma. Using videos from the series “Body story”, and the work of Dr Bruce Perry, a recognised world expert in the area of childhood trauma, participants will have an opportunity to apply their learning in this interactive workshop.
